Pickleball as a new sport worldwide is still in the early stages of developing coach education courses for accreditation of coaches at various levels.
The PAA presently recognises a number of coach education courses and the accreditation they provide.
Coaches who are accredited and register with PAA are available HERE (** link coming soon**)
Coaching courses are offered each year with both local and overseas instructors. There is also the option of an online coach education program.
International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA)
IPTPA accrediation is offered at Level1, Level 2, and Level 3.
LEVEL 1 - This is a course that provides coaches with the skills and knowledge to introduce beginners through to development of intermediate level plaers. It includes practical sessions and online written exam.
LEVEL 2 - Certified Pickleball Teaching Professional
LEVEL 3 - Certified Elite Teaching Professional
Certified Rating Specialist - Trained to provide ratings for players.

FEES: These vary dependent upon course provided, venue, and instructor costs.
AVAILABILITY: Presently these courses are only available as requested and when instructors are available.
Pickleball Coaching International (PCI)
PCI have begun to establish a coach education program which is available online.
LEVEL 1 - Coaches are required to complete coursework and 4 assessments including an online exam and submission of 3 videos demonstrating coaching skills. The course can be completed at your own pace and should take about 15-20 hours in total.
