The Trilogy Funds APC are back on the Gold Coast for 2025
Pickleball Australia is thrilled to announce that the countdown is officially on to the 2025 Trilogy Funds Australian Pickleball Championships (APC), taking place from Monday the September 29th to Monday the October 6th 2025 at the Pimpama Sports Hub.
The signature event of the Australian pickleball calendar is set to establish the Gold Coast region as the southern hemisphere's premier pickleball destination and eclipse last year’s record as Australia's largest pickleball tournament.
Building on the success of the 2024 Trilogy Funds Australian Pickleball Championships (APC), which drew over 1,200 players to the Gold Coast and ranked as the second-largest tournament outside the US (only surpassed by the 2024 English Open), this upcoming competition promises to be even bigger with a packed schedule across the 8 days of pickleball.
In a landmark announcement at Tuesday's official launch, Pickleball Australia Executive Officer Brendan Lee revealed a spectacular minimum $30,000 prize pool for the 2025 APC – a first in APC history. This significant incentive is expected to draw over 1,500 players, not just battling it out for the significant prize money but also the prestige of being crowned the APC Champion.
“Year on year, we strive to exceed the previous Championships and surprise and delight our participants and fans with new experiences, quality activations and ensuring we engage with constant community connection; before, during and after the Championships,” said Brendan Lee.
The 2025 APC will see more action than ever, with approximately 56 dedicated pickleball courts and 230+ events to participate in, with the welcome introduction of the 125+ combined age doubles, dedicated PWID (People with Intellectual Disabilities) and Deaf and HoH Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles events, the return of the fan favourite Split Age Doubles/Mixed Doubles and much, much more.
In 2024, Trilogy Funds joined the APC as the Official Presenting Partner. This landmark partnership delivered what can only be described as Australia’s favourite pickleball event. In 2025, Trilogy Funds will once again be welcomed on board as the Official Presenting Partner.
Managing Director of Trilogy Funds, Philip Ryan said, “We are proud to be Presenting Partner of the Trilogy Funds Australian Pickleball Championships for the second consecutive year. With an expected 1,500 participants in 2025, the event reflects the sport’s extraordinary rise – driven by its accessibility, inclusivity, and broad appeal across all ages and backgrounds. Our continued support of pickleball is a considered investment in community wellbeing, aligning with our belief that positive, active engagement is good for people – and good for the future”.
The entire tennis, netball and greenspace precinct will be transformed into a pickleball paradise at the Pimpama Sports Hub and Gold Coast Mayor, Tom Tate, couldn’t contain his excitement:
“We are a city on the move, chasing the biggest and best sporting carnivals on offer. When it comes to pickleball, few other sports can rival the action and high-adrenalin pace of this competition.
I’m delighted to welcome the best professional and amateur competitors to Pimpama for the 2025 Championships. Your presence sends a message not only nationally but internationally. That is: our city is a place where sport thrives.
In the past 13 years, we have invested billions of dollars into new sports facilities, community spaces and training venues.
With the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games behind us and the 2032 Brisbane Olympics and Paralympics seven years away, we have a huge forward agenda when it comes to sports and festivals.
Broadening our sports and events calendar is key to the city’s economic and social growth. And with pickleball booming around the country, it’s great news we have secured these championships until 2027”.
