Pickleball Australia Coaching Accreditation

Pickleball Australia recognise that alongside the rapid growth in player numbers and community interest comes the immediate demand for pickleball coaches. This demand includes:


- Introductory coaches to introduce the sport to the uninitiated

- Foundational coaches to help build the skills of new and developing players.

- Development coaches for those players interested in upskilling and improving their player rating

- Junior development coaches specifically targeting the introduction and development of U19 players.

- Performance coaches to provide targeted coaching for players working towards elite playing pathways.

The PAA presently recognises a number of coach education courses and the accreditation they provide.  Coaching courses are offered each year with both local and overseas instructors.  There are also online coach education program options.

Current recognised coach accreditation courses

Pickleball Australia recognise a range of coach education courses that will be incorporated into our coach accreditation program.

AATC Level 1 Pickleball Coaching Course is endorsed by Pickleball Australia. The course is a blend of on-court and off-court learning to ensure coaches can deliver outstanding results to players.

The IPTPA offer a range of certification courses of different levels.  They are offered with on the ground instructors of which we have one in Australia.

PCI offer Level 1 & 2 courses online and occasionaly in person in Australia. They also provide a free introductory certification program supporting those interested in introducing new players to the game.
