Registration into Pro and Senior Pro events is not a guarantee that you will be included in the draw. For Pro, 28 registered teams/players based on DUPR as of 31st of August 2025 at 11:25pm will receive direct entry into this event and four (4) wildcards will be selected by the APC Adviosry Group and Tournament Director. All other players who do not receive either direct entry or entry via a wildcard will have the opportuntiy to move to and age/skill bracket to compete in.

10. How does DUPR impact the event's I enter and can I request to play in a different skill level event?

Requests to play in a lower division (within 0.25 of your current DUPR) will be considered by the tournament director at the close of entries (August 31st, 2025) and with a written request from the player to apc@pickleballaus.org. In the interest of fair play, the Tournament Director will assess players based on past tournament performances. To foster fair placement, players with a DUPR reliability score of 80% or greater will be placed in their correct skill level event.

DUPR transition by PA explained

When entering the APC, player’s should enter into the skill level event that their current DUPR allows them to enter into; to avoid missing out on an event at the APC. With 5 months until the APC (from start of entries until close), a player’s DUPR could move considerably in this time.

During the months leading up to the close of entries for the APC, player’s should monitor their DUPR and edit their own entry should their DUPR now allow them to enter a different skill level event.

At the close of entries on the 31st of August 2025, players can request to be moved events to the tournament director apc@pickleballaus.org

All player’s DUPR’s will be checked by the tournament team at the close of entries and players who’s DUPR no longer allows them to be eligible for that event, will be moved to the appropriate event by the Tournament Director.

11. How does the waitlist system work?

Singles: players will automatically be allocated a position in the main draw, UNLESS an event is at capacity.

Doubles: players will automaitcally be allocated a position in the main draw, UNLESS the event is at capacity. If you enter before the event is at capacity, you have 7 days to secure a partner and have your partner also enter the tournament. After 7 days if your partner fails to enter or you do not secure a partner, you will be moved to the waitlist.

Teams who have both players enter the event, will be prioiritised over a player who fails to secure a partner and these teams will be moved to the main draw first.

It is the responsibility of the participant to source a partner and have them enter to secure the teams position.
