AMC - Underway Across the Nation

The 2025 Australian Masters Cup (AMC) has officially commenced across the nation. And, as of this over 1200 players have registered across over 40 clubs Australia-wide; all feverishly competing to climb their league ladder with the ultimate goal to be a top performer in their league and in their relative age group (50+, 60+ and 70+) at the culmination of the event.
Clubs across the country have embraced the PA initiative, which has been delivered in collaboration with the PA Seniors Advisory Group and the work that is undertaken by this very important representation of pickleball players across the country.
The AMC has an exciting path for players who top the ladder in their relative age demographic of 50+ 60+ and 70+, with regional, state and a national finals event to playout in September.
Each club has a nominated league manager that is responsible for the weekly game days. These folks have volunteered their personal time to ensure that the AMC delivers on the PAA league framework.

At the time of writing this message, we've seen a flurry of clubs commence their AMC league with favourable feedback coming through from clubs, facilitators and players alike. Needless to say the buzz on court is bringing joy and smiles, and the matchplay brings passion and spirit week in, week out. Here are some quotes from happy picklers;
"I was a bit nervous about playing in tournaments, so I thought the AMC would be a pleasant introduction to competitive play....and I love it!"
"The structure of play is interesting, kudo's to my club for getting on board."
"The AMC is a great environment to enjoy the game but still have that competitive vibe amongst my favourite club members. And there's pizza too!"
There has been some pretty serious movers and shakers out there so far, but it’s early days yet, and with at least 9 weeks to go we are going to see some exciting challenges for those top spot positions. The league ladder operates on a simple formula of points earned vs max points possible, and each week this percentage determines movement of players up and down the ladder.
One of the beauties of the AMC is that players are not committed to the entire schedule of game days, with the ability to “opt in” on game days of choice. This offers flexibility to work around personal commitments such as holidays or special events.
More clubs will be commencing their leagues in days to come, so if you're yet to join in on the excitement of the AMC league, don't worry, there is still time to join a league that's underway or join one that is about to commence.
