New Members Join the Pickleball Australia Team
Pickleball Australia (PA) is excited to announce the additions of Kerry Gray and Michelle Jones as the newest members of our team.
Kerry joins as Events Coordinator, and Michelle as State Administrator Officer for Tasmania, South Australia, the ACT, and Queensland.
Kerry is originally from New Zealand and has been living in Australia for 13 years. She has been part of the pickleball space for some time now. She has participated in a wide range of sports throughout her life and has undertaken numerous volunteer and paid roles in sporting administration.
Kerry is delighted to have joined the team at PA and can’t wait to work with everyone in her new role.
“Pickleball is such a welcoming and inclusive sport. I enjoy being a part of helping the community continue to grow.” Kerry said.
Michelle, a far North Queensland native, picked up pickleball during an extended stay on Bribie Island. Seeing its power to re-engage people in sport and build community, she launched pickleball in Townsville in 2020. By 2022, Michelle was on the Pickleball Association Queensland Committee and now holds the Secretary position. If you've played in a Queensland State Championships or QPT event, chances are you've met her at the tournament desk or on the court.
"I love being a part of the PA Team,” Michelle said.
“Having the opportunity to work with the other states is very rewarding - we have so much to learn from each other. The passion and dedication of the volunteer committees of the State Associations is incredible and it is a privilege to be a small part of supporting them on their journey.”
