
Wayne Spanner joins Pickleball Australia Board
Pickleball Australia (PA) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Wayne Spanner to its Board of Directors, effective February 2025.
Wayne brings over 30 years of experience to the board, having served as a chair, non-executive director, senior executive, and managing partner across professional services, the finance industry and non-for-profits.
Currently, Wayne serves as chairman and non-executive director of a listed Australian non-bank residential mortgage and asset finance lender, and independent chairman of a law firm in New South Wales. He has held significant leadership roles in a global law firm including working in the United States. He was also managing partner of its Australian practice for many years.
His international experience includes working in South Africa, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States. He has chaired and served for many years on the board of the University of Cape Town Australia Trust, a charitable foundation supporting development and social justice programs. He has worked with other non-for-profits including, the Asia Society of Australia.
Wayne holds professional qualifications in law and management, including a Master of Science in Management from Oxford University and a Bachelor of Laws and Commerce from the University of Cape Town. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Wayne joins existing Director and Board Chairwoman Jen Ramamurthy, Vice Chairman, Nicholas Cooper and Directors, Kaden Hensel, Jodie Dunstan, Amy Hill, Nikhil Shetty, Chris Pascoe and the recently appointed Mia La Burniy.
